Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 11, 2026
DeepFast ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed and operated by Honest Dev LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address). This is stored locally on your device and is used solely to identify your account.
1.2 Health & Fitness Data via Apple HealthKit
With your explicit permission, DeepFast reads and writes body weight data from Apple HealthKit. This is the only HealthKit data type we access. We use this data to display your weight trend chart and sync weight entries across your health apps.
In compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:
- HealthKit data is never sent to any server, cloud service, or third party.
- HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- HealthKit data is never sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party.
- HealthKit data is stored only on your device.
1.3 Fasting Data
Your fasting sessions (start time, end time, duration, preset type, phases reached) are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to any server.
1.4 Weight Entries
Weight entries you log manually are stored locally on your device and optionally written to Apple HealthKit (if you have granted permission).
1.5 User Preferences
Your fasting preferences (default preset, goals, weight unit, notification settings) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Fasting timer & phase tracking: To calculate your current fasting phase and display your progress.
- Streak tracking: To calculate and display your fasting streaks and calendar history.
- Weight trends: To display your weight trend chart and calculate changes over time.
- Notifications: To send local notifications for phase transitions, milestones, and streak reminders.
- Subscription management: To verify your subscription status via RevenueCat (see Section 4).
3. How We Store Your Data
All your data is stored locally on your device. DeepFast does not operate any backend servers or cloud databases. Your fasting sessions, weight entries, and preferences are saved to your device's local storage using standard iOS file storage and UserDefaults.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted. Data written to Apple HealthKit will persist in HealthKit independently of the app.
4. Third-Party Services
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Apple HealthKit | Weight data sync | Body weight (read/write, on-device only) |
| Sign in with Apple | Account authentication | Name, email (stored locally only) |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Anonymous user ID, purchase receipts |
| Apple StoreKit | In-app purchases | Purchase transactions (handled by Apple) |
We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or data brokers. We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party.
5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
DeepFast offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly and Annual). Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
6. Data Security
Your data is protected by iOS's built-in security features, including device encryption, app sandboxing, and Keychain for sensitive credentials. Since all data is stored locally, there is no network transmission of your personal health data.
7. Your Rights
- Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times.
- Deletion: Delete the app to remove all locally stored data. To remove HealthKit data, use the Apple Health app.
- Revoke HealthKit access: Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > DeepFast.
- Revoke Sign in with Apple: Settings > Apple ID > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple.
8. Children's Privacy
DeepFast is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
